It encompasses all the activities related to the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services, including the ways in which resources are allocated, prices are determined, and income is distributed.

The economy can be divided into different sectors, including the primary sector (agriculture, fishing, and mining), the secondary sector (manufacturing and construction), and the tertiary sector (services such as healthcare, education, and finance).
