StLouis Fed refers to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, which is one of 12 regional banks that make up the Federal Reserve System of the United States. The St. Louis Fed is responsible for supervising and regulating banks and financial institutions in its district, which includes all of Arkansas and parts of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee.
In addition to its regulatory duties, the St. Louis Fed conducts research on economic and financial issues, provides economic education and outreach programs to the public, and participates in the formulation of national monetary policy through its membership in the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).
