Opendoor to Air Live Commercial of Home Sale During Super Bowl Halftime

Opendoor

Opendoor, the San Francisco-based e-commerce platform for residential real estate, is using the Super Bowl halftime show to prove a point on the speed of its home selling potential.

The company stated it will be offering a live commercial during the game’s halftime show featuring an Atlanta homeowner in real-time showing their home via Opendoor’s Virtual Assessment. The commercial will highlight that a seller can get an all-cash offer on their home by using Opendoor in the same amount of time it takes for the halftime show to run. After the Virtual Assessment, if the home qualifies, Opendoor will send the homeowner a real offer. The company added the seller is under no commitment and can back out before the sale is complete.

Opendoor is not an official Super Bowl advertiser or sponsor and is not using the “Super Bowl” name in its marketing campaign. Livestream footage of this commercial will air on Atlanta television and on the Opendoor.com website.

“Like Opendoor, our approach to the Big Game will be anything but traditional as we aim to redefine not only how we advertise, but also how homeowners envision and navigate the process of selling their homes,” said David Corns, chief marketing officer of Opendoor. “This spot isn’t just about making history; it’s a testament to the simplicity and certainty we bring to real estate. Even in the midst of the Big Game excitement, homeowners can easily sell their homes so they can focus on what’s next in life.”
