Former NBA star and coach Butch Beard has put his Central Harlem penthouse on the market for $1.55 million, The Post has learned.

Beard, a hoops legend with a nine-season NBA career from 1969 to 1970 and then from 1971 to 1979, purchased the home back in 2014 for $1.42 million, records show.

This basketball maestro dribbled, shot and dunked his way through five different teams during his playing days, including the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Seattle SuperSonics, Golden State Warriors and the New York Knicks.

With 5,622 career points under his belt, Beard even repped the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1972 NBA All-Star Game.

But here’s the real kicker: During his time with the Golden State Warriors, Beard played the hero — sinking the final 7 points that clinched the 1975 NBA Championship.

He went on to coach the New Jersey Nets from 1994 to 1996, graced TV screens as a color analyst for New York Knicks games in the 1980s, and held the reins at Howard University and later at Morgan State University, where he made waves until his departure in March 2006.

Beard and his wife, Lisa Carvalho, former VP of PR at L’Oreal, fell in love with the Big Apple, particularly Harlem, in 2014.

They joined the ranks of retired NY Knicks greats Earl Monroe and Walt Frazier, who also call Harlem home. Since then, they’ve become local heroes, diving headfirst into the community.

Beard mentors underserved youth through college and intramural basketball leagues, and sits on the board of the Harlem-based organization, YES Inc, championing young lives through sports and education empowerment.

Meanwhile, Carvalho, now a Broadway publicist, has been a key player in reviving Harlem’s iconic Apollo Theater and is an active member of the 127th Street Block Association, working to build civic pride and betterment within the community.

Now, their love story with the city takes a new turn as they’ve decided to pass the ball and sell their Central Harlem penthouse.

This two-bedroom, two-bathroom wonder spans 1,334 square feet of interior space. It boasts not one, but two private balconies, offering an additional 120 square feet of outdoor space.

Inside, there’s storage galore with six custom closets and a kitchen pantry that comes with its very own built-in bar.

The living room offers a full wall of windows providing sky-high views and an easy flow into the eat-in kitchen, both seamlessly leading to the outdoor terrace.

The primary bedroom comes fully equipped with a built-in armoire, nightstands, a spa-like ensuite bath and, you guessed it, an additional balcony.

Jeff Nolan and Maria Omana at Corcoran hold the listing.
