A Greenwich, Conn., estate once owned by fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger is back on the market for $9.65 million.
The historic home, at 36 Mayfair Lane, was built in an English Manor style in 1932.
The 7,438-square-foot spread features seven bedrooms, eight baths and two powder rooms on 5.38 acres.
Tommy and his then-wife, Susie, bought the home in 1993 and sold it two years later for $5.5 million.
The current sellers paid $8 million for the estate in 2006.
Details include a chef’s kitchen with an adjacent breakfast room, a family room with arched, French doors that open to the wisteria-covered loggia, a formal dining room, four fireplaces, high ceilings, intricate moldings, and a study with a tracery ceiling.
The second floor boasts a main bedroom suite with a sitting room, one of the fireplaces, and two baths and dressing rooms.
Outside, you’ll find landscaped gardens and stone terraces, along with a pool and a cottage-style pool house with two baths, a kitchenette and a lounge/game area.
In addition, there’s an 830-square-foot, one-bedroom guest space above the garage — and a terraced tennis court where Czech-American tennis legend Ivan Lendl once played with the home’s former owner, Wojciech Fibak (who was also a well-known tennis player in the ’80s).
The listing brokers are Ellen Mosher and Julie Church of Houlihan Lawrence.
