Greater Nashville Realtors’ market data for the month of June shows that home closings were down by 17%, there are fewer sales pending over this time last year and home prices are down.
Despite the decreases during the month of June, data from previous months in 2023 presents a more accurate picture of the Nashville housing market, GNR Vice-president and Realtor Tara DeSelms says.
“This is one of the strangest markets we’ve been in because we have to look month to month because last year was so different than any other we’ve had,” DeSelms told The Tennessean. “It’s challenging to look year over year right now.”
Although the median sales price in Nashville’s nine-county region trended down in June, January to May numbers show a steady, 5.5% increase.
