The National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) is partnering with the National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America (NAMMBA) on a strategic alliance focused on encouraging diversity, equity, and inclusion within the mortgage industry.
According to the organizations, NAMB and NAMMBA plan to combine their resources to provide enhanced support, education, and opportunities for minority mortgage professionals, while also advocating for policies and practices that promote greater inclusivity. The organizations will also mutually promote each other’s annual conferences and conduct initiatives to identify and address barriers to entry and advancement for minority professionals while supporting the path to homeownership within minority communities.
“NAMB is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive mortgage industry and homebuyers,” said NAMB President Valerie Saunders. “Partnering with NAMMBA aligns perfectly with our mission to support all mortgage professionals and ensure that everyone has equal opportunities to succeed in the marketplace and when buying a home. Together, we will create a more equitable and dynamic industry.”
“We are absolutely thrilled to join forces with NAMB,” added Tony Thompson, founder and CEO of NAMMBA. “This alliance marks a new era of collaboration and progress in the mortgage industry. By combining our resources and expertise, we can drive unprecedented change and create limitless opportunities for minority professionals. Together, we are not just shaping the future of the industry—we are revolutionizing it.”
