The longtime New York City home of four-time Oscar-winning actress Katharine Hepburn has been listed for $7.2 million.
The New York Post reported the 164-year-old five-story townhouse in Manhattan’s Turtle Bay neighborhood was acquired by Hepburn in 1931, who owned it until her death in 2003 at the age of 96. Hepburn’s estate sold the property in 2004 for $3.9 million.
The property has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, six fireplaces and covers 4,560 square feet. It also has access to Turtle Bay Gardens, a private park shared by 20 townhouses surrounding it.
The former home of Hepburn’s next-door neighbor, composer Stephen Sondheim, sold last December for $7 million.
