Rick Miller

Rick Miller, the leader of the U.S. property practice at Aon Commercial Risk Solutions, passed away on April 23 at the age of 62 following a brief illness.

Miller was born in West Hartford, Connecticut, and graduated from Boston College. He worked with Industrial Risk Insurers, Alexander & Alexander Inc. and American International Group Inc. before joining Aon in 2005 as chief broking officer for national property.

Miller was promoted to practice leader in 2016, and he gained national prominence for running Aon’s annual property symposium, with the most recent even occurring last January.

“Rick was not only an amazing property broker, leader, and industry icon in serving clients and solving complex and difficult placements, he opened his heart to everyone around him and cared passionately for his team and all the clients he served,” said Lori Goltermann, CEO of Aon’s Regions and Enterprise Client Group, in a LinkedIn post. “My life is better having known Rick and our firm will always remember our great Rick Miller. We will wrap our arms around Rick’s family, and while our time with his illness was short, our remembrance of Rick will be visible and live on.”
