PropyKeys, a tokenized real estate project deployed on the Ethereum Layer 2 network Base, has moved out of its beta testing and into public availability.
PropyKeys, which is part of the Propy ecosystem, is a decentralized application (dApp) that enables users to mint a digital address corresponding to a tangible property. According to the Miami-based PropyKeys, users can mint digital versions of any home addresses or global landmarks. The platform’s staking mechanism rewards users with PRO tokens to mint and safeguard onchain addresses and title deeds, and users can mint AI-generated global landmark NFTs that can be personalized with cryptocurrency logos and styling.
The PropyKeys mission is aimed at enhancing property deed security by shifting from paper-based to digital systems on the blockchain, which the project said will help to combat deed fraud and streamlining the process of buying and selling homes. During a two-month beta testing phase, nearly 1,800 addresses were minted.
