Our commitment to fighting hate

commitment to fighting hate

Airbnb is committed to building an inclusive company and a global community where people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences can feel welcome. Central to this work is our commitment to fighting discrimination and hate in all forms, including anti-Muslim hate and hatred directed toward Arab communities, as well as antisemitism. We are dedicated to upholding our non-discrimination policy, helping Hosts welcome guests from all cultures and communities, and supporting employees from all backgrounds by building a workplace where everyone can belong and thrive.

As the Muslim community observes Ramadan and the world marks the International Day to Combat Islamophobia, we reaffirm our longstanding commitment to fighting hate based on religion, including anti-Muslim hate. We are horrified by the unacceptable rise in discrimination, mistreatment and violence toward members of the Muslims, Arabs, and Jewish communities, and we stand alongside all those around the world in speaking out against it.

To foster greater understanding of the impact of hate-based violence on people and communities, we are organizing a forum in partnership with our Arabs@, Jewish@ and Muslims@ employee resource groups. The forum will build upon our ongoing efforts to create an inclusive workforce, including offering allyship and blocking bias education courses. We will also continue working with our community to promote connection and understanding around the world.
