An international soccer star has reportedly bought himself a manse in one of Dubai’s most exclusive enclaves — but his rep has denied the claims to one outlet.
Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the world’s best paid athletes, has allegedly expanded his property portfolio to include an address on Dubai’s high-gloss Jumeirah Bay Island, also known as Billionaires Island.
Bloomberg first reported that the 38-year-old had acquired a compound on the seahorse-shaped isle, and that it’s set for handover to him in 2024, according to sources who requested anonymity as the situation is private.
It’s unclear how much Ronaldo paid for the estate, but other area megamansions are expected to sell in the range of $54.5 million apiece, developers anticipated in an interview, according to Bloomberg.
A representative for Ronaldo, however, denied the “rumors” when approached for comment about the purchase by the Sun.
Other residents of the gated, artificial landmass include the Israeli gambling mogul Teddy Sagi, the Saudi billionaire Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, the wife of Russian billionaire Andrei Skoch and Isabel dos Santos — the oldest child of former Angolan dictator José Eduardo dos Santos, the outlet reported.

In addition to being home to an extraordinary amount of very rich individuals (brokers tell Bloomberg that the island has a higher number of billionaires per square mile than any other community in the wealth-saturated United Arab Emirates) Jumeirah Bay also features a yacht club, multiple high-end eateries and Bulgari Resort Dubai, an opulent hotel by the Italian fashion house.
The resort — which has its own marina, a spa and a concept store — frequently hosts opulently well-to-do island visitors, so far this year including Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Bloomberg reported.
During previous trips to the Middle East, Ronaldo has made headlines for renting some of the most posh possible lodgings the region has on offer. Last year, The Post reported the Portuguese pro was staying at the Four Seasons Hotel, located in one of the tallest buildings in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh’s Kingdom Tower.
The Al Nassr Football Club player’s month-long stay there is believed to have cost $300,000.
