This oceanfront Hamptons estate once asked $150M — and now it’s heading to auction

This Southampton compound — once the East End’s priciest, asking $150 million before plunging into bankruptcy — is now heading to auction, Gimme Shelter has learned.

La Dune, an estate spread over 4 acres, is on famed Gin Lane, and it comes with 400 feet of oceanfront.

Louise Blouin, a French-Canadian art publisher, bought the property for $13.5 million in the 1990s. Known as the Red Queen for her red blazers and “off-with-their-heads” management style, Blouin has a passion for real estate, and La Dune was her crown jewel. She first listed it for $140 million in 2016, the year the Panama Papers outed her for stashing cash in offshore accounts.

The property was featured in Woody Allen’s 1978 film, “Interiors.” It now boasts two homes — a traditional shingle-styled residence from 1892 and another designed by French architect François Catroux, which was built in 2001. The compound also boasts two pools and a sunken tennis court.

The bidding process begins on Jan. 12 and ends on Jan. 24, when it will be auctioned at Sotheby’s inaugural “Visions of America” event on the Upper East Side. It’s the first time real estate will beauctioned alongside art at Sotheby’s, said Chad Roffers, CEO of Concierge Auctions.

Concierge Auctions is partnering with co-brokers Harald Grant of Sotheby’s International Realty, Corcoran’s Tim Davis and Bespoke’s Cody Vichinsky. There will be no minimum bid.

“The title will be free and clear,” Roffers said, adding that bidders will be vetted and will need to put up $500,000 as deposits.

“The goal is to maximize value and find a new buyer. All the stakeholders are aligned. There will be a new owner on Jan. 24,” Roffers said. “It’s in everybody’s best interest for it to be sold. We are known for selling iconic properties in a time-efficient fashion.”

Last year, Concierge auctioned “The One,” an LA mansion that sold with no minimum reserve bid for $141 million — the most expensive residence to sell at auction.
