Peachtree Group, an Atlanta-based commercial real estate investment firm, has named Sameer Nair as senior vice president of equity asset management.
In his new role, Nair will oversee and implement asset oversight to Peachtree’s real estate portfolio and preferred equity investments. He was most recently senior vice president of acquisitions and development for Hospitality Ventures Management Group, where he sourced equity, debt and third-party management opportunities, growing the company’s hotel portfolio. Earlier in his career, he served as vice president of investments and capital markets for Kolter Hospitality, where he oversaw more than $600 million in transaction volume across hotel investment and debt restructuring.
“Over the past decade, Sameer has been instrumental in the growth of some of the most respected companies in the hospitality industry,” said Brian Waldman, Peachtree Group’s chief investment officer. “He has led multiple acquisition, development and investment efforts throughout the country, which gives him a deeper perspective of the industry and market.”
With more than a decade of hospitality experience, Nair most recently was senior vice president of acquisitions and development for Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), where he sourced equity, debt and third-party management opportunities, growing the company’s hotel portfolio. Prior positions included Nair serving as vice president of investments and capital markets for Kolter Hospitality, where he oversaw more than $600 million in transaction volume across hotel investment and debt restructuring. He also held a similar position at Banyan Investment Group as vice president of hotel investments, closing more than $125 million in transaction volume, among others.
