Casey Crawford, the co-founder and CEO of Fort Mill, South Carolina-based Movement Mortgage, took to social media to urge industry professionals to connect with others during the Christmas season.
Crawford stated his company was founded with the mission of “building connection with one another,” adding with a laugh that “thank goodness it wasn’t founded with an exclusive purpose around profit because we would have failed miserably this year.” Instead, he emphasized Movement Mortgage’s corporate goal “to love and value one another, to create community with one another,” and he urged others to carry that spirit through the holidays.
“Make it a point to connect with those people that are near to you, that you love and care about,” he said. “Make it a point to connect with some folks who you know might need some relationship and some community right now, because they’re all around us.”
Crawford added that “people are hungry for relationship. They are hungry for community, and they are hungry to know that they are not alone. So, give the gift of community to somebody in yours this Christmas season.”
