Longtime real estate exec Elizabeth Stribling finds a buyer for her Brooklyn penthouse

Legendary real estate brokerage founder Elizabeth Stribling is in contract to sell her penthouse at One Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Stribling — who sold her eponymous firm, Stribling & Associates, to Compass in 2019 — bought the spread, comprised of two unfurnished units, at 360 Furman St. for $6 million in 2009 and first listed it last year for $8.5 million. It was last asking $6.49 million. The penthouse, she once said in an interview, was “built…for entertaining.”

When the development launched out of a 1928 industrial warehouse in 2008, it was a pioneer revitalizing the Brooklyn waterfront.

Now, the same waterfront is dotted with high-profile celeb-filled buildings like Pierhouse, at 90 Furman St. in Brooklyn Bridge Park, housing residents like Kendrick Lamar and Ed Sheeran.

Stribling’s penthouse comes with a wrap terrace that’s almost 1,900 square feet and commands picture-perfect views of the city skyline, the harbor and the Statue of Liberty. It features three bedrooms and 3½ baths over 3,442 square feet, with $6,098 a month in common charges.

The penthouse has a loft-like feel, with ceilings that are close to 10½ feet high, and three woodburning fireplaces with marble mantels. Design details include reclaimed centuries-old French oak herringbone floors, heavy wooden pocket doors, custom millwork and a chef’s kitchen. There’s also a large Hermès-orange lacquer library inspired by Brooke Astor’s Park Avenue library and a study that opens to the terrace with a pergola landscaped with boxwood, yew and beech trees.

Building amenities include a gym, Peloton bikes, a screening and billiards room, a music room, three playrooms, a golf simulator and four business suites — along with a parking garage.

The listing brokers are Leonard Steinberg, Cornelia Zagat Eland and Mark Blumenfeld of Compass.
