Five-story Manhattan townhouse of ‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’ fame on market for $6.7M: ‘Iconic listing’

The Upper West Side townhouse where young Macaulay Culkin defended himself against the “sticky bandits” in “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” is on sale for $6.7 million.

The four-bedroom, five-bathroom abode at 51 West 95th St. has been on the market for nine months – even after the sellers dropped the price from $7.6 million in April, then again in July. It was sold for $4.7 million in 2009.

The five-story, 19th-century townhouse has seen a “surge” in showings in the past couple of weeks since interest rates seemed to stabilize, according to Dexter Guerrieri, the listing agent and president of Vandenberg, the Townhouse Experts.

“It’s an iconic listing. It’s on a beautiful Central Park block. The first block between Columbus and Amsterdam [avenues] is what we call the ‘Park Block,’ and [the townhouse] is actually on the nicest of the park blocks in the 90s, because it has beautiful townhouses on both sides of the street facing one another,” Guerrieri gushed to The Post.

Beyond a private garden, sun-soaked terrace, and climate-controlled wine cellar, the property offers bay windows, beautiful moldings, and high ceilings.

And the new owner won’t forget the home was featured in the 1992 Christmas blockbuster – as the family who currently lives there “still get letters from kids talking about Home Alone” around Christmas time, Guerrieri said.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” follows the story of little left-behind Kevin McAllister (Culkin) as he evades two bumbling outlaws (played by Daniel Stern and Joe Pesci) by setting booby traps at the UWS townhouse, which his Uncle Rob owns and is renovating in the beloved film.

“Even in the last couple of days, a German couple came up to the front of the house and started taking pictures.”

“Who cares about the Plaza? Let’s go to New York and see where Home Alone was filmed,” Guerrieri said with a laugh.
