A sprawling Oregon estate that was the longtime home of actor Patrick Duffy has auctioned off to a new owner.
The 300-plus-acre property went on the block at Sotheby’s Auction House on Thursday with no minimum reserve price and sold for $5.75 million after just 15 minutes, according to Oregon Live.
The amount is well below the $14 million the compound listed for in 2022, before it was announced in early December it would head to auction.
According to Oregon Live, the final sales price was pushed significantly up as a result of “two determined bidders” who repeatedly increased their offers by $50,000 at a time.
Duffy, who is best known for his starring role as Bobby Ewing on CBS’s primetime series “Dallas,” which ran from 1978 to 1991, lived at the ranch for more than three decades after purchasing the parcel for approximately $1.5 million with his late wife, The Post previously reported.
“In 1990, my wife and I took a walk around a parcel of land that was for sale in South Oregon — 130 acres on the Rogue River,” Duffy, 74, said in a statement, according to a previous story in Mansion Global. “Strolling through the forest, sitting on a log by the river, finding arrowheads in an old orchard, or scaring elk, deer quail or wild turkeys we felt the land itself talking to us … It felt immediately like home.”
Over the course of his 30 years there, Duffy has added eight additional plots to the original patch, and the estate now boasts 329 acres of Rogue Valley land.
Located in the southwest of the state, the address is set along the Rogue River and features 2 miles of river frontage, two guest cabins and two houses, one of which has a pool and an art gallery.
“The buildings feature beautiful wood and river rock [blending] with the stunning natural surroundings, and large windows,” described the listing, which was held by Alan DeVries of Cascade Hasson Sotheby’s International Realty in cooperation with Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions. “Whether your dream is to have the ultimate retreat or subdivide parcels, this property has multiple visions and is the perfect sanctuary for anyone looking to create a legacy for years to come.”
