Atlanta-based Angel Oak Capital Advisors LLC has hired Sumit Sasidharan as its head of commercial real estate.
In his new job, Sasidharan will lead the firm’s CRE platform, which encompasses approximately $300 million in loans. He will also manage the firm’s permanent and bridge-loan financing solutions and continue Angel Oak’s active presence in the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) market.
Sasidharan comes to Angel Oak from Ares Management, where he served as managing director and co-head of real estate capital markets. Before that, Sasidharan served as managing director and head of CRE capital markets at Annaly Capital Management and held CMBS-focused roles at CWCapital and Fitch Ratings.
