Former host of ‘The Daily Show’ Trevor Noah sells NYC penthouse for $9.5M

Trevor Noah — the former host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” — has closed on the sale of his chic Hell’s Kitchen penthouse.

He sold it for $9.5 million, according to records filed with the city on Thursday. Moreover, he sold it to a man named Marcus Evans, who organizes live business, sports and entertainment events around the globe.

The gut-renovated duplex at Stella Tower — which comes with its own private plunge pool — was last asking $10.99 million, and it entered contract at the end of July, according to StreetEasy.

Noah bought the three-bedroom, 3½-bathroom penthouse at 425 W. 50th St. for $10.18 million in 2017 and listed it last fall for $12.95 million, not long before he left the seat of the show.

Noah’s recent projects have included last year’s Emmy-nominated Netflix special, “I Wish You Would.” His second book, “Into the Uncut Grass” debuts in late October. A movie adaptation of it is in the works, with “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” star Lupita Nyong’o to play Noah’s mother and produce the film, according to People.

At a spacious 3,596 square feet, the residence boasts a 1,000-square-foot landscaped terrace, as well as a custom teak pergola, a wet bar and surround sound.

Inside, design details include a floating staircase, a great room with high ceilings, massive casement windows, a stylish kitchen with a walk-in pantry and a formal dining room. One of the bedrooms has been converted into a home theater.

Built in 1927, Stella Tower was designed by Art Deco architect Ralph Walker, who named it after his wife. It was converted to luxury condos by CetraRuddy architects with design by Jarvis Studio.

Building amenities include a doorman, a gym, a residents’ lounge, bicycle storage and cold storage.

The listing broker, Nick Gavin of Compass, declined to comment.
