These dirty, rotten Big Apple neighborhoods are in need of a serious spit and polish, a new survey of cleanliness in NYC found.

HouseFresh, an air purifier product review blog, has ranked Gotham ZIP codes according to grunginess, with the biggest stinker prize going to 11216, serving large chunks of both Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights.

Three of the not-so-fab Bottom 5 are hidden away from the average New Yorker’s view in far-flung Staten Island — Eltingville (10312), Great Kills (10306) and Pleasant Plains (10309).

Rounding out the rogues’ gallery is The Bronx’s hurly-burly Hunts Point (10474) wholesale market district.

That section of Brooklyn was found to have received the most sanitation complaints, with 7,664 gripes per 100,000 residents.

The site utilized a simple methodology to compile the list — the number of sanitation complaints logged inside the city’s 311 system during the last 365 days.

The cleanest ZIP in town — or, at least, the one where citizens complained the least — was 11040, on the border of Queens and New Hyde Park in Nassau County.

Also on the good list were equally-remote Roosevelt Island and Floral Park, Queens.

The 10010 ZIP code, serving parts of Stuyvesant Town, Kips Bay, Gramercy and Flatiron took home top prize for cleanliness in Manhattan.

That’s thanks to a surprisingly low complaint rate of 3,728 per 100,000 Big Apple residents — bupkis in comparison to the 21,616 complaints made by Angelenos.

HouseFresh analyzed 2.3 million sanitation-related 311 calls to compile the data.

Using their methodology, Baltimore, Maryland, was listed as the dirtiest city in America with 47,295 sanitation-related complaints, while Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was labeled cleanest city in America — with only 309 complaints during the yearlong period.
